Key point
Top decks require a specification for direct weather exposure. Internal decks still need assessment for carried-in water, traffic and slab movement. Neither location determines resin chemistry on its own.

Exposed top decks
Rain, sunlight and temperature cycling inform the system selection. Waterproofing continuity and a weather-appropriate traffic finish need coordination with joints, upstands and outlets.
Sheltered intermediate decks
Internal decks still encounter abrasion, carried-in water and salts. Suspended slabs may require movement accommodation even without direct weather exposure.
Transitions between zones
Ramps, thresholds and deck connections require careful detailing. Confirm how different build-ups meet and how water is kept from bypassing the protective system.
Specification evidence
Request current technical data for the proposed complete system. Confirm the relevant preparation method, moisture limits, movement capability, layer build-up, surface texture, application conditions and return-to-service requirements before installation.
