Key point
Some car parks can remain partly open when access, segregation and ventilation allow it. A phase plan must define work areas, retained routes and safe reopening criteria.

Define retained routes
Map the vehicle entrances, exits, emergency routes and pedestrian paths that need to remain available. Identify safe work zones and access to adjacent occupied areas.
Account for installation impacts
Dust, noise, odour, materials movement and curing affect nearby operations. Ventilation and segregation requirements can limit which areas may remain open.
Agree a phase-by-phase plan
Confirm closures and reopening criteria before work starts. Some sites will need full closures for particular stages; continuity cannot be promised without assessing the layout and scope.
Specification evidence
Request current technical data for the proposed complete system. Confirm the relevant preparation method, moisture limits, movement capability, layer build-up, surface texture, application conditions and return-to-service requirements before installation.
