Key point
A useful coating price requires a defined area, condition and scope. Removal, repairs, detailing, system choice, closures and logistics can materially change a quotation.

What drives the cost?
Area, existing coating removal, concrete repairs, waterproofing details and system selection affect the price. Access, phasing, location and working windows also matter.
Compare like-for-like quotations
Check that preparation, repairs, junction details, coatings, aggregate, markings and handover are included consistently. An unexplained rate per square metre can hide significant scope differences.
Prepare a useful quotation brief
Provide plans, deck areas, photographs, known defects and closure constraints. Allow for investigation where the substrate condition cannot be established from the initial information.
Specification evidence
Request current technical data for the proposed complete system. Confirm the relevant preparation method, moisture limits, movement capability, layer build-up, surface texture, application conditions and return-to-service requirements before installation.
