Key point
A typical specified build-up may include primer, a waterproof or flexible layer where required, aggregate-bearing traffic layers and a sealer. Exact layers and thicknesses come from the selected system data.

Primer and substrate
A compatible primer is applied to a prepared substrate within the system’s moisture and condition limits. A primer alone does not repair weak concrete or resolve unrestricted moisture vapour.
Membrane and wearing course
Where required, a flexible waterproof layer is protected by a suitable traffic surface. Aggregate texture, resin coverage and topcoat compatibility affect the final performance.
Thickness and quality records
Use the manufacturer’s specified coverage, build-up and inspection requirements. Record the actual installation; there is no universal coating thickness for every car park.
Specification evidence
Request current technical data for the proposed complete system. Confirm the relevant preparation method, moisture limits, movement capability, layer build-up, surface texture, application conditions and return-to-service requirements before installation.
