Ecoflor installed epoxy flooring in the new basement car park at Telford Homes’ Cityscape development in Aldgate, London.

The project brief
Installation was split into two phases around tower-crane removal. Apartments above the basement were already occupied, making odour control a key requirement.
Choosing the basement coating
Ecoflor proposed a solvent-free, standard-cure epoxy system as an alternative to the originally specified MMA coating.
Preparation and installation
The concrete was prepared by ride-on captive shot blasting with vacuum control, followed by local repairs. A filled epoxy base coat was broadcast with aggregate before a light grey topcoat was applied, retaining the textured finish.
Marking and decoration
Black bay lines and numbers defined the parking layout, with waiting zones for the exit traffic-light system. Wall and column decoration completed a two-colour finish.
